Sheaves, etc
I have had some recent experience with Rig-Rite. Some of their office space got burned up in a fire, and they are operating almost exclusively by fax. I called them last week, and their phone was still out. Last I got a quote from them, I did find them to be rather expensive. But if you have to replace a sheave that is hard-to-find or not-made-anymore, then you may not have a choice. I would contact Schaefer, Garhauer, and Ronstan directly and see if they don't have a replacement for you.You didn't describe your problem with the sheave or traveler. If it's Delrin (Acetyl/hard plastic) and it's fallen apart, then you will have to find a replacement (that happened to 2 sheaves on my boom vang...buying a new vang was cheaper). A traveler probably wouldn't have aluminum sheaves, but if that is the case, talk to your local machine shop about fixing.BTW, when you call around, they will want to know if the ID is the bushings ID or the sheaves ID.Good luck with your project.
