I own a property on Lake Erie that includes a couple docks in a protected harbor. I am considering buying a 30 - 32 foot cruiser. My problem is that on occasion, due to seasonal changes in water levels, I have only 3-4 feet of water at the docks. Beneteau offers certain models with swing keels. Can you comment on the performance aspects of these keel designs vs. fixed keels.
