Two zinc camps
Bob,You may be surprised by two answers from the archives - one group of sailors likes using two, arguing it doubles the amount of time that the zinc is effective; twice the area, twice the time. I know when I use two I usually have part of one remaining when pulled out in the fall. When I use one, I need to add another mid-season.Another group argues that twice the zinc means that each get used up just as fast; so there's no advantage and the two last just as long as one. The only thing the first group is doing is spending twice as much as we should. You'll have to decide which camp you're in.Either way, be sure to use a hammer and tap on the zincs as you install them to seat them properly. I used to use a screwdriver handle with the right tip to tighten the zinc; but using a allen wrench is far better. The zinc needs to be torqued on as tight as you can. It spends its life spinning in circles and needs to be firmly attached.Good luck...now wait for the other opinions..... Paul
