Hey guys. I read several posts recently about the "Shaft Saver" and since I was nearing a haul out, I looked in to installing one. I just got an email back from the company and they tell me that they don't make one in my size for my H380. I have a 1" shaft with a 11/4" bearing and the smallest they make is a 11/2"... Has anybody else run into this problem or is it the H380 that is limited? Thanks Brian CREW REST

The Shaft Saver Is Placed Between The

flange on the prop shaft and the flange on the transmission. The size of the bolt circle and the shoulders on the two flanges determine which one you need. If you have a 3GMF Yanmar you probably need the 80mm model, and if you have the 3JH or 4JH Yanmar, most likely you will need the 100mm model. The device is made out of a hard but flexible plastic that flexes enough to prevent engine movement from damaging the bearings in the transmission or causing a fracture in the prop shaft. I won't leave home without one installed.
