Shaft Log / Stern Tube replacement

Hi All,

I just removed (cut out) my shaft tonight and will need to replaced the shaft log on my H33C. I was already planning on the shaft, cutlass, coupler and packing nut (want to go with dripless). I have not been able to find a shaft log on-line with the four bolt holes on the square flange. This site sells one that looks like my exhaust thru-hull, it looks like I could make it work but I would rather replace it with a similar one. Sailnet sells one for hunters that has two carriage bolt holes opposite one another, but the flange does not look like it would fit. Does anyone have any ideas where I might be able to find one? As you can see from the middle photo, catastrophic failure was not too long away.

Give these fellows in Tampa a call. They sold the stern tubes for the 33 in the past. They told me that they have a source for fabricated stern tubes.

Wow. How did it break. I am replacing my shaft log on my H30 and it looks identical. I don't have a source yet so please let us know what you find.

Thanks Paul - Mark I'm still looking. I'm ordering shaft etc this week and hope to have a source by then, I'll keep you posted. I think the 34 yr old bronze just corroded away.
