Hello all,

I've never had a pump out before, and I am working on installing my head. So,..

Is it a pump out nozzel or hose?

Is the nozzel or hose flexible or rigid?

I am planning to install the KISS system and am wondering if I need a perfectly straight shot from the pump-out hatch to the Tee or Y fitting at the ball cock thru hull.

Thanks,

The pumpout system is by vacuum. They hook up a nozzle to your
pumpout fitting on the deck and suck it out. Your internal hoses
need to be rigid enough to withstand the suction. That is all.

Roy,
I tried to answer your email but it bounced.
The eyes in the face of the tank don't work. I guess the epoxy is not
clear enough to see through. I just got home from a 20 day trip, and
find that I can gauge the level of the tank by the sound of the water
when flushing.
On your pumpout line: make sure the hose or pipe goes almost all the
way to the bottom. Mine is about 3/4" from the bottom, inside. You
also need to have a vent, or better still two vents, so the tank will
not implode when being sucked out. I used a couple of 5/8" ID fuel
tank vents, one on either side of the head window.
I've never used the pumpout feature yet as I managed to get far
enough offshore to use direct discharge.

Thanks Peter.

I do wonder if there is a passive way to see the level of waste water in the holding tank?

Maybe cut some type of vertical slot in the surrounding support wood?

A removeable pannel?
