till I cast off lines to join six other boats from the Pascagoula area for our annual nine day sailing trip across Mobile Bay and then on thru the ICW for points Eastward. Between having to work ALL weekend and then Monday and Tuesday before taking just two days to provision for the trip, I am about whipped. Is it just me or does anybody else wait until the last minute to get their boat ready as well? As I have been working a refinery shutdown on nights for the last three weeks(78 hours a week), I have been trying to work at least 2 hours a day on the boat. I will be ready i am sure but with the thought that NEXT year i will not wait to the last minute! Fair Winds All, Frank

Frank, I get the feeling you will be very reaady!! The provisioning will work itself out. Man, nine days!! That should heal you up on sleep and relaxation. I hate you already!! ENJOY Dean

In the same boat

Sort of in the same boat as you. We are leaving Slidell next Sunday morning, heading east. Plans are for a three week cruise, probably as far south as Tampa Bay area. Four boats going. And I am not finished with the interior re do yet. But will go with what I got, finished or no. Our plans should have us in Big Lagoon Tues. night. And Port St. Joe on Thursday. From Port St. Joe will head across the panhandle to Clearwater. Hopefully we can meet up along the way. If not have a wonderful trip. I can hardly wait.

Chevron Pascagoula I assume. I'm at Exxon Chalmette, board man temporarily assigned to turnaround planning. What are you doing over there? Happy the turnaround is over? Have great cruise, you deserve it.

Shutdown is ongoing. I was promised during predown that Company would honor vacations. So far they have not said no. Shutdown will be there when i get back. Frank P S Shutdown planning, I feel for ya!

Well im sure you guys will have a great trip. I had wnated to meet up with you guys some where along the trip but i am work untill the 3rd of june pushing barges. Maybe i,ll see ya some where out it the soinds or mobile bay. I am on a green and white tug pushing 2 300 foot red barges. The stacks will have " MMI " on them. Fair tides and good breeze. hope to see ya somewhere one Mobile Bay. If i do i will be sure to try to hail the Cove Point on 16 for a working channel.
