Yup, copy that.

Actually I'm trying to talk my yacht club into putting a unit at the end of a pier exposed to northeasterlies.

I been doin' weather stuff for 39 years and am just not familiar with wireless technology. I'd like to set up a web based system for my buds so they can monitor conditions when they can't be near their boats.

Cheers from Annap

I have been running the wireless Davis Vantage Pro 2 for 4 years now with never a problem. Easy to mount (mine's on a 45' pole about 200' from my house/PC). Software is easy and readings can be posted to any website you have access to. Comes with a pre-made web page you can just upload - accessed by anyone with 1 click. Mine transmits data from the sensor to my PC every 5 minutes, and I upload new readings to my website every 15 minutes. I had continuous reading all through recent hurricane Omar (70 mph+ winds). See the output at:

Good luck! -

Weather Station

I love my Davis Vantage Pro2. It is wireless from the pole to the console. I have the data logger to download to my computer via USB. I have not set up to post to the web yet but may try this year. i had a little technical glitch as the result of a power surge, but tech support talked me through the fix with patience and resolved the issue.
They now make a data logger that can connect directly to a network router, no computer needed at the headend. Data is continually available on the internet. Davis is a marine supplier, too. Check their web site.
