Just bought and '86 H31 which is missing the settee table. Former owner "threw it away" Ugh. No joy from Hunter in getting a response regarding whether they still make them. Any ideas short of Hunter or buyng a spare boat how I can find one or have a replacement made?

Check forums & walk the docks

Ken, there are lots of table pic and articles about table mods in the archives of this site. You can also walk the docks and find other Hunter31s and maybe "borrow" a table to copy at a local cabinet shop.

Simple pattern.

Ken: I would be glad to make a pattern of the table off my old 1985 H'31. It is basically a rectangle with the corners cut off. Depending on your wood working skills you could probably make one yourself. Do you want to use the area as a spare bunk? If you do not, I would suggest that you make it a couple of inches narrower than the original. If you want to use it for a bunk, then that my not be an option. The post to support the table can be found at your typical RV supply outlet. There is a table base, a floor base and a post. The clips on the starboard end of the table are made by Perko or one of those marine hardware companies.

I will trade with you!

Since it is only me and my girlfriend who go sailing and only the two of eating I would much rather have you layout! I wonder what would have to be done to actually trade? mmmmm

Hunter doesn't have much info

on the 80's boats. Jigs, plans, etc. went away, probably when the computerized the whole shop. They can reproduce floor panels, cabinets, etc., for those models like the can the new ones. Unfortunate, but undertandable, things have to change.
