I would speculate the boat filled with rainwater, and the weight collapsed the trailer. It looks pretty bent.
Sounds plausible ... if that is the case then he should advertise it as having a water tight hull

I think the mast looks bent near the top. Judging by the scrap across the bow from the trailer winch, it was rear-ended.

I'm thinking it looks more like a Catalina, maybe 22. I've never seen Mac windows like that or the wooden handholds on the cabin. But for sure, what a mess!
I do like that seller's sense of value. He couldn't possibly sell that boat for enough to make putting it back on the trailer worth his time. What do you suppose the hourly rate would have to be to make that to expensive to bother with?
