OK, So all H31's list a little. Mine a lot! Anybody have any suggestions. I had a hole in the hull, but that has long since been taken care of, and the water drained. The listing may be offset by 500lbs ballast on the port side. But come on! Isn't that a little much? I hope I can get some leads to help me cure this. Thank you all, Perry Mullinix

Wow that is quite a compensating weight. What deficiency in construction could cause such an imbalance???? Water build up in the outer edge of the bilge? A/C and water/ fuel tanks/battery banks on the same side?? Is it possible that the keel has a "bubble" in it??? Its got to be something substantial somewhere. What/where elso coulkd it be? How high is the water line toe rail to water line on one side vs other??? Looking forward to other comments/theories. Jim McCue

That must make a port tack in a blow even more fun than usual. Ours was listing pretty good too (33.5) but an 80 pound bag of sand under the settee was enough to offset. Ours is really loaded on starboards side. Holding tank, fuel tank, outboard storage, lazarette, refridge unit, dining area, food storage, head to name most of it. And we did not have nearly that problem. As per previous post, something is obviously wrong if you have to put two linebackers on your port rail to get her to even out. I would stronly suggest getting to the bottom of it rather than lining your port rail with bags of cement. Doug

Now if you buy me a beer I'll come over and analyze this with you. PS: Perry did the boat list when you bought it? Was it that way when you were in SF? Just thinking you may be stuck in the mud (not kidding)

the conservative shift in this country. That would explain why she was listing to starboard.

It's obvious that the port shrouds are too tight and are pulling up that side of the hull. Its got to be a B&R Rig thing. With all those wires and turnbuckles, something like this was bound to happen.

I've decided to move the keel. No actually I think each of your answers has merrit. (Excpet the reference to Rush is Right)The factory experts say the rig is out of tune. Makes sense to me because the list was slight until I installed the roller furling. Then it became more serious. Thank everybody for the input. I'll post the results of tunning after it's done. And IF I ever decide to wrtie a comedy routine, I'll post something else here and take notes.... Thanks loads guys!
