if that really is your name, I don't think that Steve Martin was in the "Capt Ron" movie which I rather liked if a bit over-romanticized. That does not mean you could not know Steve Martin if you were hanging out with that set in Vail. Speaking of Goldie I liked "Overboard" a lot as well - a lot of action on and around the water. I am a marine professional, but always learning and would not want folks to take my advice too seereeusly. Because of a minor professional staus + I could be liable? Mr Gainer is a gentleman and highly knowledgable without doubt, dunno why he would have disdain for a series drogue Warreen? I see lots of crazy inventions that are the defintiion of the word 'quixotic' keep the english rich and make each word pull an oar say I; else they go overboard. The series drogue is one of the win-win items that are not seen often enough like the servo-pendalem windvane or solar panels, EPIRB... well there are quite a few nowadays. I see no offense Mr Caleb, in fact you have to hit me with a sledge-hammer, I took your remarks in good stride, funny, i did steal that AKA from Kurt in Cap'n Ron great fun film. I am not here to impress friends or abscond some business, if so I'd use my real name and interpol wouldst have me...;-) Am nursing a bum knee I injured on a ski trip recently so have lotta time, but still only respond to posts I have some knowledge of. No, don't know what Joe was talking about, but 'off base' is much less offensive than some of the remarks I've seen herebouts. They are very environmentally conscious people, and the daughter is a real beauty too; good skiers all. Now for another glass...Australian Shraz. BTW, the German fellow, as memory serves, had that tire up on his bow for some reason, but did not think of it as a sea-ancor till caught in that full-blown-storm whence some twelve yachts were rescued by the New Zealand coast guard. on that day, all accounted for none died. I was in Akahu Bay, Auckland with my schooner, but knew several of the folks involved in that storm 80-90 knots with terrific breaking seas...

A friend of mine had both and helped him a lot when he got caught in the edge of a hurricane and then lost his rudder some time later.
