I read that you were comparing the landscaping to that of Peru's terraced fields. From that statement I'm assuming you have visited, and maybe even Ollantaytambo. I have been involved with an archeological project with my father there for many years. If you are interested you can view:

Fortunately, I am using a MacBook, so unfortunately, I cannot get past the Microsoft-centric first page of your link. I've made a note to take a look at it the next time I crank-up the Microsoft monster.
