Sequitur in Puerto Williams

Michael, great read, as always. So glad to hear the good news about the windlass. That South African boat with the US skipper reminded me of a goon on a boat next to me in a large raftup a few years ago. As you know, sailing on a schedule makes no sense, but this guy had his schedule in his head, regardless of what the tides were going to be. He insisted that he leave at 0700, so he could "get home" on time.
He was outboard to port of us, we were the end boat tied to the end of the dock with everyone to our starboard tied stern to to the dock, everyone to port of him (4 or 5 boats) was hanging onto, well nothing! It was a very protected river setting, no wind. It required everyone involved to get up at 0645 and do all sorts of useless maneuvers to set him free. He didn't understand running lines back to his boat, so that we wouldn't have to all get up. All sorts of nonsense and unnecessary fuss and bother for all involved.
Right after he got "loose" from the raftup, you guessed it, he ran aground!
Turned out to be the finest (non-Starbuck's) cup of too-early-in-the-morning coffee I've had in a long time!
He eventually got loose, again, about an hour later. Gettin' up early for no reason turned out to be a good story, but not fun at the time.

Another great read, and I'm always looking forward to the next installment. I have to say, when I go through your pictures, I find myself starving! You two really know how to eat well while on board.
The food does look amazing. Sounds like chile isn't keen on cruisers and Argentina will be much more mellow. Nice read!
