Stockton
I sail out of the Stockton Sailing Club and we have a large number of self tending jibs in our harbor. You'll need to decide if you want a club jib or a Soling rig. I prefer, and have a Soling rig on my Catalina 30. You might want to visit our club and check out some of the boats and measurements. If it helps at all, my jib traveler and track is about the same size as my mainsheet traveler and track. I know that Pineapple Sails has done quite a few Stockton boats and would have a good idea of what is required.A Soling rig uses a curved track that's mounted forward of the mast. It's raised on brackets so that the curve is in a plane perpendicular to the forestay and the arc of the curve mimics the arc in which the clew travels. In my opinion, the Soling rig gives the best sail shape and is easiest to trim in that you only have a single sheet. E-mail me if you would like more details on my set-up. I would think that the sizes required for your boat would be in the same range as mine.A club jib uses a boom on the jib and a deck mounted track. It also requires a fore and aft track for the forward end of the boom to mount to. Without the fore and aft track, you will have problems with trimming the foot of the jib.
