Self survey? (like being one's own attorney?)

What else would you suggest I look for? (obvious trouble spots) I'm buying an '86 C25 (swing keel s/r) that has just had the bottom done (all blisters repaired right, good antifouling paint...I saw the repair bill and spoke to the the guy who did the work). I've sailed her and she feels good. The price is right. She has been in fresh water until this spring. The chainplates look good above and below deck (no cracks in gel coat and no leaks). I intend to inspect the rudder and pintels for damage or leaks, and the motor mount. I didn't see any cracks in the bulkheads below. What else? Thanks a million. I'm either buying this one or another C25 (and I'd rather buy this one).

well it sounds like you like this one

lets face it all used boats have hidden problems so buy the boat that you like your going to up grade it any way it sounds like the owner has takin care of the boat well that hard to come by

For Gods sake go to the C-25 National Associations site and read the how to survey article.
