made a self raising mast system with a 2X2, winch, a couple of L brackets, and small pulley, man what a difference! I can lock the mast in place anywhere along the arc of travel, to undo caught wires or whatever! L brackets are mounted on the deck in front of the mast, slide a tube through the L brackets and 2X2, ropes in place and how easy it is!
