I have an 0day 23, and am looking to aquire a used spinnaker. I don't know much about what to select; size, design, construction. Any help would be much appreciated.

Crusising Shooter

The Shooter provides all the muscle without the hassle. Most sail makers have them. Unless you are a serious racer, You might be better off with that kind of sail. Same material but slightly different cut. I've used mine quite a bit on my 23 O"Day and it works great. It will even move the boat when there seems to be no apparant wind. No need for a lot of extra hardware.

Cruising chute shopping

Hi Brian - One option is to go through the cruising spinnaker selection guide on this site (see Related link below). Choose your colors, type in "Oday 23" and "Doyla", a quote for a spinnaker by Doyle, based on calculated measurements from I and J. You can get specific measurements on the sail by inquiring with the chandlery master, and then either buy the new sail or use the info and pricing to shop around new or used. Either way, it'll give you a good start and it's fun to pick colors online! Best, Trevor
