Hi - I just spent 700 with a rigger in Oriental NC to service this and try to get it to work more smoothly. I noticed when trying to re-install the main that the halyard swivel does not rotate with the cylinder (that the sail wraps around, don;t know what the piece is called). When you manually move it on the cylinder it grinds. Are there supposed to be screws that hold this to the furler, and did I get screwed out of 700$ ? Looks like in the disassembly instruction there should be

I would address this question to Selden and your rigger. I assume your rigger is a Selden dealer so he should know. Request the rigger drop the sail and verify the swivel installation is correct, then install the sail and verify performance.

There are ports for lubrication and each Selden system comes with grease for that job and you can buy more if you run out. The bearings are stainless steel and so usually don't go bad. I suspect something else is going on.

There is another swivel at the top of the mast which is impossible to grease with the mast up, it is bolted inside the masthead, this is what the foil is connected to / hung from. When was the last time the winch built on the mast was serviced? There are several bearings which require annual greasing all of which could cause the condition you are seeing.
