Selden Mast foot replacement

I have a Selden furling mast on a Hunter 46 LE. I recently noticed a crack in the foot or heel of the mast at the deck, and some water incursion on the compression post inside. I am wondering if anyone has a resource for this part. Hunter parts seems to think it is obsolete. If so, does anyone have a recommendation for a custom part?

Check with Selden or your selden distributor. There is a serial number engraved on the bottom of your mast. Take a picture of it. Also, on the boom, take a picture of the serial number engraved in the lower surface of the boom at the gooseneck. Together, those identify the mast and the parts used to build it.

Post this along with a picture of the broken part you want to replace.

As a follow-up, attached are the pictures of the cracked part and the number engraved on the boom. I did not find any numbers on the mast. They may be covered by the boom vang attachment. One photo was too large so the link is included here: Google Photos

The engraving for the mast is usually on port side, right above the mast
I can't see the picture of the cracked part. Is your mast furling or non-furling? What year is your boat?

Here's an example from a 2005 Hunter 460 with in mast furling. The engraving is hard to see, right down near the deck. The turning blocks psbscure the last few numbers. But with some info about the mast (partial numbers) plus the numbers on the boom, Selden can usually ID the exact rig.

Touch on the words "Google Photos," and the picture will be there. The crack is on the port side. If you zoom in, there might be a number there. I just couldn't get it into focus.

The Selden mast is a furling one, on a 2005 Hunter 46 LE, basically a 460.

Okay, the mast extrusion for your boat is a F232.
Now you need to show me a picture identifying the cracked part.
It's not sharing correctly on Google photos.

Nope. that doesn't work for me. I get a 404 error. "The requested URL was not found on this server. "

Perfect. That's everything we need. I have opened a tech support case with Selden on your behalf.

Please stand by. It's almost 5 pm on the east coast at the Selden facility in Charleston.

As an update, I contacted a rigging company in Long Beach who is also a Selden associate. I ended up filing an insurance claim, and the estimate given to me was a little over $6000.00. Removal of the mast and standing rigging, replacing the part, and putting it all back together over an approximate week or more. Dr Judy B, your information was very helpful for me to get this rolling. I truly appreciate your prompt information. Thanks again!
