Hi -
I am de-rigging my new boat for winter, and have a couple questions about the mainsaill furling and rodkicker.
The boat is a Hunter 36 with Selden in-mast furling, and also a Selden solid vang.
- how do I remove the continuous loop reefing line from the winch at the mast ? There is a silver plate on the top with a (torx ?) screw - do I just remove this plate, or is there some other trick ?
- I went to remove the vang - there is a clevis pin at both the mast and boom end - however after taking the cotter pin out - the clevis was still very solidly in place. Is this right, and I just tap the pins out with a hammer and punch ? Or is there something else ?
Suggestions welcomed......I looked at the Selden manuals and of course they dont say anything about this.
Thanks,
Paul
