Tried to catch up to the boat to get name but it just left me in its wake around Port Madison Bay. Anyone know the history of the boat in the photo? Scott

How did I know that would be a picture of the

Adventuress? I don't know much history of her but she is used as a 'new sailor' (teen) training ship. She's cool. You'll see a lot of her. Now that you know her name, see if she has a web site. :)

Sound Experience

Fred's correct, it is the Adventuress. There is a non-profit place called "Sound Experience" that has been working to preserve her and utilize her for teaching and ecology-type stuff for a while now. Went to their charity auction last year and enjoyed meeting a lot of the people. She's been hanging out at Shilshole for the last week or two. Tim Brogan April IV C350 #68 Seattle

Look for her in Port Townsend

Adventuress is often in Port Townsend and almost a sure bet for the Wooden Boat Festival after Labor Day.
