after looking at it again I think they are the original keel bolts that are bent into a J at the end. apparently some o'days in the 30 foot range have lost their keels. I could be wrong except that there are people on this forum saying so. I'll look for a gap on the keel. I think this one is good.

You’re reading about the 302 and 322 series, which were made in the later 80’s as O’Day was changing hands between owners a few times. Some of those hulls were apparently built with a lot less glass in the keel stub than the design, so the bottom of the stub itself (not the bolts) could eventually fatigue and fail. I’ve not read about any related issues in the laminate thickness of the older 2 digit models.
should I paint the deck? there is a lot of non skid. what about painting the Interior fiberglass? I have used total boat to restore a bass boat.

Painting is usually a decision that is one way... Once painted always painted.
It is suggested that if you can sand/buff the gel coat you are better off than painting. On the other hand, if the gel coat is gone painting is the thing to do.

I might try to remove the back of this tiny mini fridge and build a new lid for the ice chest with it built in. do you think it will work?
