Clear Lake Area!
Kailani, There should be no difficulty in chartering a vessel in the Galveston area. As an alternative, you may wish to take a 30 minute drive to the Kemah-Seabrook area at the outlet of Clear Lake on Galveston Bay. This is home of the second largest fleet of sailboats in the US. (just behind San Diego). There are numerous charter companies offering just about anything that strikes your fancy including near new Hunters and Beneteaus. The sailing down here may be a bit tame compared to SF, but we enjoy Galveston Bay in our Beneteau 321. Send me a direct email at jmcclain@southshorelabs.com and I will see what I can find.
