If the '79 version is any indication...

the '74 manual won't be much help. The last printed version of the Oday 23 owners "manual" is actually on this site. Check out the Oday manuals section of the More Fun pull down menu on the home page. It really is just a two-sided sheet of legal sized paper. If you have specific questions about how to do something or perform some maintenance, I think your best bet is to post a question on this site. BTW, welcome to the Oday 23 Owner's Society.

1970-74 O23 was different

Rudy Nickerson at D&R Marine (508) 644-3001 might have a manual for your 1974 O'Day 23. The Manual that is on the web is for the later 1977-85 O'Day 23. and that was a very different boat...well, not VERY different, but different that the newer manual will be of limited help. The later 23 had the keel molded as part of the hull and the ballast was lead inside the molding, the cb was solid fiberglass on the newer model as opposed to the wood core of the earlier model.
