We move aboard on Friday, have a small sendoff party on the boat Friday night, and leave very early on Saturday morning to catch the ebbing tide to Victoria. After customs clearance and some post-customs provisioning, we're off to the West Coast of Vancouver Island for two months cruising in Barkley and Clayoquot Sounds. This is a magical place inhabited by bears, eagles and whales. The topography includes mountains, sea caves, waterfalls and hot springs. The weather can also include some high winds, big waves and plenty of fog in the summer. My biggest concern is that after two months we'll just want to keep going. If my communication scheme with a power boosted cell phone and external antenna linked to my lap top works as planned, we'll do some "live" postings from our cruise. We'll be back in September. You all behave yourselves.Gary WyngardenS/V Wanderlust H37.5
