See venus all day today

WAAAAY off-topic but I hope this will be interesting to some of you. Look up and find the crescent moon today. Once you find it, look slightly down and to the left. You should be able to see Venus. Even at midday. Pretty cool being able to see Venus in broad daylight. It'll be just a tiny speck near the moon. But hey, it's Venus in the middle of the day!

Saw it this morning just before sunrise. I usually go out at about 5 AM to get my paper and saw how bright it was!.. very striking.
(yes I am a dinosaur, I still read a newspaper!)

BTW, kloudie1, they recently discovered the bones of a Tabloidosaurus and his cousin Ragosaurus in the Louisiana swamps.

Yep, been watching Venus and also got to see the sounding rocket flash of colors after the launch at Wallops Island last night.
