Hi all;
So my mast for the C&C30 is back on the keel and a group have made several suggestion as to chocking the mast. I am new to the vessel and used the existing wood shims. I initially used four on each side of the mast. I've also talked about making new shims with maple or oak. Winter firewood. I was told adamantly, two shims, fore and aft. Nothing on the sides of the mast. The shims should be soft wood. Another was saying rubber shims only, fore and aft the mast. What are others doing?
Chris
ps I took out the side shims.
