Anyone know the best place to start trying a depth finder transducer in a 86 or later model C22? I had it mounted in a bed of vasaline on our previous boat--just forward of the keel. Does it work OK aft of the keel, back by under the swing keel winch? Too much turblance as the water passes by the keel for it to get a clear reading? Thanks, Tom Pensacola FL

Under the V-Berth

Under the v-berth, behind the 5 gallon water container is the perfect spot. Very easy place to install and get too. It’s in front of the keel. Place it 3 or 4 inches from the center line of the bottom, that will give you room to add a knot meter on the other side in the future.
