First off - Justin thank you for your insight on previous questions and Steve - the directions and new site are up at www.sebagosailing.com. I should have more detail up by March. We uncovered a can of worms by chipping away at a blister on the wing keel and found red, rust damage after chipping away at an old patch job. We are now about 1/2 inch deep in some areas and getting a bit nervous. We were just told by Rudi Nickerson that this is not hugely uncommon and he came up with mixing black beauty with epoxy and glopping it on that way... Has anyone else had this experience? Is the damage due to electrolosis or just seepage from the bad patch job? Thanks folks. She's inside our barn/house so we have no excuse not to get the work done!

Maura, I found a thread which may help

Go to Forum Discussion Archives and type in Lead keels... just as I typed it here. There is a thread there which discusses rust, its possible sources, and some solutions. Make sure you check all sources and all choices as to how the discussion started when you describe how you want to search. Tom
