This picture of us, taken by Jane Feldman, a noted portrait photographer and friend, sums up my mood better than anything I could write.

We’re in a slow decision process here, on the fence between returning to Strider mid January or early February or getting back into cross country skiing with a break flying to the Gulf of Mexico to explore by car and small powerboat rentals. The former would be a cold and interesting adventure, seeing the ICW at a little traveled time. However, shoveling upstate snows from around the car is pretty cold also.

Stay tuned. Strider should be on the move somewhere by mid March in any event.

Happy holidays and a great new year to all.

No white stuff here in So. New England (boo, hiss, boo...) nevertheless,

To all, and especially the Longs (nice pix): Enjoy the Holidays !!
It sounds like any path you take will be an adventure.

(Now, I need some help, "all" I understand.... is there a difference between "Y'all" and "You all" ?? .............And how 'bout "All Y'all" ?? )

:)

IIRC

Y'all is one or two.
You all is three to five.
All Y'all means bring the dogs, too.

:)

Merry Christmas to all my friends on SBO. May your sailing days be many and your troubles few.

Merry Happy, Happy Merry from Bob & Laura, cozy here in spite of the wildly varied temps of the mid- Atlantic.

The picture indeed says it all. You both look very happy.
Here in Gulf Coast Florida there are ample opportunities to explore by power boat, and honestly for many areas that is the preferred method due to the (lack of) depth of water. Also canoes and kayaks.

Good luck with whatever you choose to do. I personally, will be on an ocean passage for the whole of January and first week or so of February.
