I have a 1979 Hunter 33 that I am renovating and bring back to life. First question: The toe rail was leaking on both the port and starboard sides. When toe rail removed there was a putty type sealant used by the factory to originally seal the deck-to-hull joint and toe rail bolts all at the same time. Anyone know what this putty type sealant was? It is grey in color. Also, any recommendations what to reseal the toe rail with?Second question: The toe rail is black anodized aluminum. Any recommendations on how to bring the shine/life back to the finish?
