Hi, does anyone knows how I can acces the base of the mast fo seal the inner post without removing the mast. I plan to remove the 4 screws, then tilt the mast but I am effraid that the base could slip on the roof. Has anyone done that before. Thankyou

Probably will not work due to the "pass through" tube in the bottom of the mast step. The tube which carries the mast wires, goes down into the interior cross beam about 2" and up above the step plate about 1".. If you tip the plate enough to work under it, you'll probably break the PVC tube that is sealed into the plate.
