Seal Renewal/Upgrade

We have some small leakage in several areas around the seals on our top-loading freezer in our Hunter 380, WIldest Dream. Frost does eventually build up on the evaporator plates inside the box, but this takes several months to become troublesome.I'd like to repair/replace the seals so that I get an absolutely tight seal. Does anyone have any suggestions about repairing the existing seals or a place to obtain new seals.THanks.

New Gaskets

If the box is taking several months to build up frost to the point that the refrigerator does not cool as well your box seals are fairly good. Check the hole in the box which allows the copper tubing to exit, see if it is completely sealed. The other area is the drain, make sure it is plugged.The gasket material specification would have to come from Hunter since the material was purchased to fit the dimenional space between the lid and the receiver of the lid.If the gasket is becoming "weak" you might be able to reinforce the gasket. If the gasket is of the "P" type which means it is shaped like a P and has a hollow tube area connected to a flat section you can place a thin soft cord inside the hollow section. This is not an easy job since the gasket is glued or fastened to the receiver of the box and snaking a cord through a small hollow section is difficult at best.
