Seal mast hole in deck

Hi,

I need to seal the space between the mast and edge of the mast hole in the deck of my 37-C. Any and all ideas, suggestions, and recommendations would be most appreciated!

The old traditional way was a canvas boot wrapped around and secured top and bottom with bands or hose clamps. New way is with Spartite, a liquid plastic you pour in to seal the partners. West Marine and others should have it, and there may be other similar brands out there.
