We have a terrible leak over the companionway. My husband removed the seahood today. It released easily and we found lots of dirt in the drain channels. The wood stop on the lexan slide had rotted away, which probably increased the water flow down the wood walls of the companionway. We will clean things up, install a new wood stop (teak?), and reinstall the seahood using butyl around the screws. We hope this will lessen the leak significantly, if not stop it.

I'm having the same problem with my 1990 35,5. My sea hood has always had a lot of give anytime someone stands on it so I plan to reinforce the starboard and port inner edges with more glass and probably add layers of glass under the hood.
About five years ago I beefed up the the removable aft deck below the helm and that has held up very well since then.
