Inq and Lutz, points well taken.
I'll have to admit, my boats have never been clean enough to wax really I guess. The p26 is a '74 and although it looks good and I keep it fairly clean, It's not glossy like a new boat. It gets bumper rash from the dock etc and if I don't go down for a few weeks it'll get algae and mold in places and the M/E just kind of melts it off where detergent and a brush or rag takes an unreasonable amount of scrubbing (for me). Wish I could spend a weekend JUST cleaning the boat and applying a protective wax or? Hard not to put those sails up though...
I also use the M/E on the vinyl pool, again where nothing else gets the mold off the top edge, the M/E just wipes it off with no scrubbing or effort. Guess sandpaper can be like that, often wondered if it was too good to be true...
