Hi All,
My vega has one of the old seafarer type depth sounders, while I quite like
for its kitch value (unless its sunny or dark and you can't read it, or you
haven't got the levels right and it goes off on a mad multi-depth thing
etc). But I've broken the transducer. I put a bag into the locker, and
damaged the coax, just at the point it comes out of the transducer. Now the
depth is fixed at 1 metre... and I've been sounding using a bolt tied to
some knotted string for the last week, which isn't good for the blood
pressure in unfamiliar harbours.
Has anyone in the UK got a spare one? Maybe someone has upgraded to a newer
depth sounder (one with the wider 200hz transducer that's more common these
days) and has kept the old one as a spare. I'll make a contribution and pay
for the postage.
Cheers,
Tom[Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
