I have replaced just one of the originals. I replaced the large one under the galley sink and servicing the galley drain when I replaced the corrugated drain hose with a proper below-waterline hose. This valve was the hardest one to operate. Originally I was going to replace it with a new valve on a triangular flanged adapter base, but I found that a brand new vlave was harder to operate than my original valve. Long story short, I soaked the original valve with Marvel Mystery Oil for several weeks and operated it repeatedly. It is now the easiest valve of all to operate. So I simply re-installed the OEM valve on the Groco flanged adapter base.
I did call Apollo Conbraco and asked them about the quality of these OEM valves. I never got a definitive answer. My concern was that they could have been manufactured with non-marine materials. However, since my valves have survived 20 years with no indication of degradation, I tend to think that they are marine quality. There is still the issue of mis-matched threads: NPS on the thru-hull, NPT on the valve, but I fixed that issue on the one thru-hull that I replaced.
