We definitely need a swim platform and would even like to eliminate the support rail above the swim ladder. We want to be able to scuba dive from our 26S and need a platform deep enough to accomodate the BC/Tank so that a person can actually put the tank on at the platform and then just slide in the water rather than jumping off fully geared-up. I am a small lady and just can't quite swing the jump from the boat. Any suggestions??

A platform mod

Go to the Mac web page in the blow link. Check out Bert Ward's swim platform mod. Give him an email for info. Looks good. Haven't done it, but might. -Jerry

Swim platform isn't necessary

Instead of putting the BC/Tank on in the boat try inflating the BC, dropping it in the water, then putting it on. Then the reverse for getting out of the water. You should have practiced this while getting your certificate. If not it's not really that hard. Best way is to put regulator in mouth, with tank valve in front of you place arms in BC, then simply dip under the BC flipping the tank over onto you back. Its a whole lot easier that trying to climb around with the gear on, and takes the work out of getting in and out of the water.
