Saw this H26 for sale

I remember a while back a guy looking for a H26 and saw this today on CL for sale. I know nothing about it other than the price seems ok if it is in descent shape.

I saw that one too Caverun. I had to laugh and did not even click on it. The term "perfect working order" in regards to a sailboat that the owner admitted he did not have time for and is sitting under tarps while in need of a at least a bottom job made me chuckle...

Are you referring to how much work a sailboat can be Phil? I know my line of thinking was to get a boat we could overnight on and that a sailboat would be "cheaper" than a powerboat without fear of having to repair/replace a expensice motor or outdrive. I was thinking there wasn't much to one, how hard can it be? Little did I know LOL!!!

At least it has a four stroke um motor. Price seems to be good but pictures only show the boat but not damage like hairline cracks or interior. However, it appears to be clean and that is a first sign that the boat owner is trying to present in a proper mannor.

Welcome to Indiana, the land of un predictable winds and cheap sailboats! Yes, at least he made an attempt to present the boat in it's best light. He could probably sell it faster and for more money if he could relocate the boat to a more "sailboat friendly" area.

I concur and you have to be very careful on Craigs list. One fellow wanted me to send the titles without payment. I said hell no. Another wanted a bill of sale but when asked where to send it to, no mailing address would be given. I would also do a reverse search of the phone number and if it was not matching to the area where the mail was being sent, I was leary. In the event that both sides are being careful, there is a third party who could handle the title work and payment for a modest fee.

I love the portability of the water ballast boats but can't get over the way most of them look. It's like a clorox bottle with a mast! Now watch me go buy one someday, doh!

I own a I phone. Do you or can you borrow one. If so, we can look together via phone using facetime at that boat and trailer if you are interested. I have done this in the past with to include a 260, Catalina 250 and so on. Let me know and we can communitcate via forum email. At least You would have someone who knows the boat.
