PVC! PVC has been improved over the years, but I doubt that it up to the quality of even low quality Hypalon.

I have a 1994 Caribe has been left in the sun since 1994. It is ready for a new skin, but still hold air over a weekend. Most sailors do not want to spend the money up front, but based on a useful life, there is nothing that can take the abuse of Hypalon. There are other issues with gas/fuel and abrasion on PVC that you need to look into before purchasing one.

The only way I would consider a PVC inflatable would be if you leave it stowed when not being used (very occasional use).

I have had great service from my "yacht tender" model from SeaEagle.com. It is one of the lesser expensive boats available. It's quality was much greater than I imagined. They will drop ship the complete setup with oars, foot pump, seat, repair kit and storage bag at your door step. Mine is easily rowed and I tow it with little drag everywhere I go. After having an inflatable floor, I would never have slats again. For a basic entry level tender, it has been perfect for my needs. Good luck!

I love my Saturn

I purchased the 8 ft Saturn last year. Not a lot of time with it, but it appears to be very will made. I do deflate and keep it covered when not in use. It is PVC after all. But for the price and my use - weekend dog tendering - its perfect!

You get what you pay for. I got a cheap inflatable, it is junk but it works.

Well made and cheap is what I am seeking. Expensive does not always mean high quality. Cheap does not always mean junk. Value is where the quality is good for the cost.
