I am planning on replacing the old black sanitation line on my 1993 Hunter 40.5. On the Sealand website, they list two types of sanitation hoses - SeaLand OdorSafe® Hose, and SeaLand Heavy-Duty Sanitation Hose. I have included the link for their site, for reference. 50'??? You shouldn't need more than 20!!
You just may have opened up a whole new can of worms...'cuz if you have two heads connected to the same tank, and if the distance from one head to the tank is much further than 6-8', both toilets should not be connected to the same tank...'cuz when the head discharge hose is longer than that, there's almost no way to avoid leaving waste sitting in the hose between the head the tank. Glad you ordered my book 'cuz it covers all this...but after you've read it, we may need to talk before you start this project.

..I would guess the run from the forward head to the tank is 10-14 feet. Fortunately, it's downhill. It ain't anywhere near optimum, but trying to engineer anything better would be a serious nightmare. Trust me... no room. So, Anthony's best bet is to use the best hose possible and pump it real clean. The aft head is about a 5' run. Add to that all the macerator plumbing and any Y-valve additions and at least 30' is needed. BTW, still buying your book for new boat owners. Best thing around for educating fast on a universal issue. Rick D. (Owner of $600 JABSCO)

I kind of like the idea of having two separate holding tanks. I have not accessed the current tank, so I dont know its shape and exact location. Any ideas where I can install the second unit?
