I have a Sanibel 18 that now has a center board that won't drop. I want to fix (it's on the trailer), but don't want to damage anything. It normally goes up or down by using the rope attached that feeds into the cockpit through a hole. Appreciate any advice! :)

You're on the Hunter forum. Might want to repost to trailer sailors.
My advice would be to crawl under the boat with a flashlight and see what's holding the board up. Might be marine growth or the rope may have jumped the sheave if it makes any bends. It might be that the board has swelled but won't know till you check it.
Not to be a wise guy, but you are saying it won't go down when the boat is in the water, right?
Very cool boat BTW and welcome to SBO.

Thanks Merlinuxo! Yeah, I didn't see where the best spot to post was, so thanks for replying. Yes, the board is stuck in the up position and won't drop even when the rope is loosened. I will have to get this fixed as the weather here in Florida is getting gorgeous for sailing. Thanks again!

[Know what you mean, I'm enjoying the dry air already.
Where are you in FL? We're in Satellite Beach, on the barrier island East of Melbourne.
