Sandblasting the bottom

Sand blasting will open the porosity between gel or resin and the matting layer underneath the gel .... and makes the subsequent (osmotic) blistering worse than before. Suggest you use crushed walnut shells or 'baking soda' for the blasting.
The compressor really has to be matched to the blasting device ... usually 10+ scfm at 100 psig. for the small blasting units, or more.

We had the bottom of the Endeavour blasted last year, but I'm unsure about the medium as we weren't there. The fellow came highly recommended and I'd also recommend him as he does boats for a living. He also has specialize equipement for the job that sucks the medium back in as it does the work so as to not make a mess in the yard.

...and frame down to bare metal, but would not feel comfortable trying to do the glass bottom on the boat. He took all the bottom paint off and just left a slight blush of paint that the guys who did the blister repair took off with sanders. He was about 1/2 the price of the quote we got to sand it all off and the only one so far that came in under their quote on the final bill.

I'd doubt up to MD, but your boat does
. Our boat is by Charlotte Harbor and I think he lives in that area as he had a boat in the same yard. I'd bet he would probably travel some at least up and down Florida's west coast. I have his phone number somewhere if anyone wants it.
The yard we are in is very popular with winter cruisers who take their boats out April/May before hurricane season. Still a lot of locals in the area also use the yard to work on their boats short term, such as repainting the bottom. They allow you to work on your own boat there and the rates are as good as you can find in Florida. We pay $237 a month for the 37' Endeavour and that includes up to 2 round trips in and out of the water each year for no additional charge.
The really big plus for us is that you can live on the boat while working on it or before going in or after coming out. That has saved us a ton in motel bills. The only negative is that working and living on the boat at the same time can get...
