Hello all

I see these sandblast kits you can buy that work with a pressure washer. Cheap and look like they work but do they??

Greg, A club mate used the system last spring. It did the intended job. It was a slow process. Used around 3000lbs ( 75bags) of sandbox sans on a 33' boat... HINT.... the sand MUST remain dry for this to work. It is a Venturi type operation. The second you let off the trigger, residual water travels down the pick-up tube and into the dry sand... The solution is to keep the media bucket above the wand level..

Interesting..... that’s a lot of sand and at 4.50 a bag could be pretty expensive! the infomercial makes it look great. I’m not looking to take all the way off, just to get any loose paint off.

Generally, anything I see in an informercial or if it says "As Advertised on TV" is not something I going to waste money on. That includes YouTube commercials.

If you do buy one, put it on a credit card and when it doesn't work as advertised and the company does not respond to requests for an RMA, you can contest the charges.

Not really that expensive, compared to what a boat yard would charge.

Reviews of various systems. From Jan 11, 2021 so about as new as can be. 7 Best Pressure Washer Sandblasting Kits - (Reviews 2021)

Looks like this is more than a "As seen on TV" thing. Dewalt apparently sells an add on kit for their pressure washer(s) too. So maybe just some proper research and you will get something that works and works well.
