Does anyone that lives in San Diego, know or heard anything on Seaforth boat rentals? We are going vac. the first of December out there and looking for a sail boat to rent for a day. Any comments or advise would be appeciated.

Seaforth sail boat rentals

My wife and I have rented their boats for about a year and a half. The Seaforth staff have always been very helpful and professional. They have three locations in San Diego. I also belong to their sailing club. Even though I own my own boat now, I still rent their boats. You will love sailing in San Diego.

We rented a Catalina 250

from them prior to purchasing our last boat. I was attempting to decided between the Hunter 260 and the Catalina. The boat was stripped except for Coast Guard required life jackets, fire extinguisher, VHF radio and a set of tappered wood plugs. We got a short shaft 8 hp motor that (when in the water) pushed at about 3 knots. No tiller extension or seat coushions. We rented for a 24 period so we could do multiple sails and use the bunks. The overnight slip would have been perfect for the 3am party types. But not what we had in mind. On our next trip to San Diego we found plenty of others to spend our money with.
