Finally, California Bound--a dream come true. Flying into San Diego on September 1 (9 PM arrival), to spend 4 days in this Southern California paradise I've dreamed of visiting for years. Had hopes to see the Pacific by my 40th birthday; missed it by 4 years--not too bad I guess. I'm on a shoestring budget, and was interested to know if any of you San Diego sailors had a sailboat slipped on the Bay, or knew of someone who does, who might be interested in renting out the boat for "living quarters only" for nights of September 1-4, 2001--was thinking along the lines of $200 for the 4 nights (not a 5-star rate I realize, but more than the local hostel), which is my present plan for accommodations. Living aboard would be a thrill! I realize it's a holiday weekend, so if all nights were not possible, a night or two would be a great treat! My female traveling companion, Connie, and I would love a daysail if you could recommend one from experience. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
