Salvage Oday 272 carpet?

Hi. Yes. We removed ALL the hull liner in our 272. It was tough. We worked hard to strip the old adhesive. We used brown, indoor / outdoor, unbanked carpet from Home Depot.
It was a good time to rebed all the deck fittings.
The carpet does a good job of promoting evaporation in the cabin.
We used a spreadable adhesive. It worked better than the spray. The problem is that the epoxy is rough and has a combed texture that prevents complete adhesion with the spray glue. The paste worked to fill those voids.
I think foam backed vinyl would trap water and promote mold.
The carpet looks wonderful. Note the nice, stainless handrails I added in the salon!
We have since sold the boat because my wife wanted a boat that does not heel! The second image is my new boat.
