Salt Water Wash down pump

I had a new pump installed two years ago and have never used it. There is no label for the power switch on the main board and with all of the switches on, still no power. It was installed origianally on the boat new (not an add on) Any ideas where I might locate the switch. It is a hunter 41, 2007 model!

I installed mine in the forward head and mounted it on the access cover to the windlass. If it was installed correctly it is going to be close to the power source that the the fuse protects the circuit.

I'm sure they are taking power from the anchor windlass. Try powering that up and using it. I installed a local fuse and came off the windlass and also put a waterproof foot switch in to turn it on and off separate from the windlass. It is only used to wash off the ground tackle so no need for it to be on it's own circuit, just make sure it's properly fused in the bulkhead if it is wired that way.

You might look for a fuse holder by the pump.

Where is the pump? We are going hunting after you tell us that :^))).
I think, unless you have the pump wired to the windlass, you really need a dedicated, 20 amp breaker. Even then, you should have the pump with it's own breaker (or at least fuse) because if something happens to the pump or it's wiring, you don't want 100 Amps of power to be arcing around up there.

You have a take-off for the "raw water" or did you come-off of the head intake's supply? (You must winterize this pump, you should know where that intake is ;^)))) - don't admit if you don't know were it is.)

I couldn't find anything on the washdown pump (but I downloaded the 2005 manual, then next one on their website was a 2008 manual -- YOU SHOULD CHECK THAT OUT, maybe you got the first factory installed washdown?)

P.S. - I am amazed that Hunter has this detailed a manual. It's really amazing how much information is there.

My switch is in the anchor locker.
